Two Charged Regarding Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Incident

The incident resulted in the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

Two individuals are now facing charges in connection with a suitcase robbery where a substance thought to be irritant spray resulted in harm at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two counts of robbery and two counts of using a harmful chemical, according to official statements.

This legal action stems from an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Earlier that day, two female travelers had their luggage stolen after getting out of a parking garage elevator, according to law enforcement.

A young child was caught up in the incident during the incident. A total of five individuals required hospital care and were eventually allowed to go home.

This event – which authorities stated was a standalone event and not being treated as terrorism – caused train delays and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a brief period.
