Reigning Aryna Sabalenka Secures Back-to-Back WTA Top Player Awards.

Aryna Sabalenka celebrating a point
The Belarusian player ended the year with an outstanding 23-3 Grand Slam match record.

The top-ranked player Aryna Sabalenka has been selected the Women's Tennis Association top performer of the year for a second straight season.

The twenty-seven-year-old captured four titles – the most on tour – which included successfully defending the US Open in September versus Amanda Anisimova to secure her fourth Grand Slam singles title.

A Year of Dominance

Over the course of the tour, Sabalenka reached a circuit-leading nine finals, with defeats coming to Madison Keys in the Australian Open final at the start of the year and Coco Gauff in June's French Open final.

The Belarusian also triumphed at the Brisbane International early in the season, the Miami Open in March, and the Madrid Open in May. She remained the entire year as the world number one, finishing 2025 atop the rankings for a second successive year.

In July, she became the first player to exceed 12,000 WTA ranking points after Serena Williams did so nearly a decade ago.

Historic Achievements

Sabalenka finished the competitive year with a sixty-three to twelve match record, and picked up a historic eleven million pounds in prize money.

She received almost eighty percent of the votes cast by global tennis journalists.

Later this month, she is set to play 2022 Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios in a Battle of the Sexes-style exhibition match in a bid to "raise women's tennis to a higher level".
