Comedian and author David Walliams dropped by book publisher.

David Walliams

Acclaimed writer for children and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.

A representative for the firm stated: "Following a thorough review, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the decision was made after an review of reports of conduct deemed unsuitable involving female individuals.

The company declined to specify the reasons for its decision, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."

A Highly Successful Writing Journey

Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in 55 languages.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

Several of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.

To date, he has released over four dozen titles combined, including a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.

Television and Literature

His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.

The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
